We're Hiring: Family Contact Worker – Manchester City Council

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families? Join Manchester City Council's Family Contact Service as a Family Contact Worker and play a key role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and their families across the city.

As a Family Contact Worker, you will:

Facilitate, supervise, and observe family contact visits in line with agreed care plans.
Provide emotional and practical support to children and parents during sessions.
Record and report observations clearly and accurately, contributing to ongoing assessments.
Help ensure a safe, structured environment that promotes positive relationships.
Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to monitor and review action plans.

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children and families, and understands child development.
Understands child protection procedures and the legal framework around family contact.
Has excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
