Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Family Support Worker to join a committed and supportive team for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. This will be a three month contract with the possibility of this being extended up to 1 year. This is a fantastic opportunity to help change the lives of children and young people. You will be undertaking direct Life Story Work with children and young people, based in the Child Looked After team in Solihull.
Duties of the role
- Carrying out life story work with young people
- Supervising family time between young people and their family members
- Carrying out assessments
- Engaging and interacting with young people who are harder to reach
A bit about you
- Experience of working with children, young people and their families, and working within a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Level 4 or above qualification in relevant field (e.g. Children, Young People & Families Practitioner) or substantial experience in a similar role.
- Evidence of direct work with children and young people
- Ability to work with a range of people in a sympathetic and supportive way, safeguarding, protect and promote the safety and welfare of children
