Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Days: Monday to Friday
Duration: Initially 3 months, with the possibility of extension
WeΒ are seeking passionate, dedicated Family Support Workers to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children, young people, and families across the borough.
π About the Role As a Family Support Worker, you will:
- Deliver practical and social support to children, young people, and families.
- Contribute to assessments, care planning, and reviews with a child-centered approach.
- Undertake direct work in homes and community settings, promoting positive outcomes.
- Supervise and support contact between children and birth families.
- Identify risks, promote safeguarding, and support children in need or at risk.
- Work collaboratively across services and agencies to meet family needs.
- A Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Children and Young People).
- Experience working directly with families and children.
- Excellent communication, report-writing, and organisational skills.
- An understanding of child development, safeguarding, and family dynamics.
- A proactive, inclusive, and solution-focused approach.
