Child & Family Worker

Location: Bridge House, Worthing covering central area of WSCC (Worthing/Horsham)

Hours per week: 37.5 - Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 5:30, with some degree of flexibility required.

Salary: £17ltd per hour

West Sussex County Council are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child & Family Worker to join their team. As a Child & Family Worker, you will be responsible for supporting a Social Worker in transporting and attending all home visits and meetings away from the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to a Social Worker in transporting and attending all home visits and meetings away from the office
  • Assist in implementing care plans for children and young people
  • Conduct assessments of children and families and provide recommendations for support and intervention
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports

Requirements:

  • A UK driving license and access to your own car
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a local authority setting
  • A relevant qualification in social work or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
