📍 Location: Durham
⏳ Contract: 3 months initially (possible extension)
🕒 Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 37 hours per week
We are seeking dedicated Family Support Workers to join our social work teams in Durham. This rewarding role is focused on helping families make positive changes, supporting parents through targeted interventions, and ensuring safe, meaningful contact between children and their families.
🔹 What You’ll Do:
- Deliver interventions to support parents in building positive parenting skills.
- Supervise family time sessions, ensuring these are safe, structured, and child-focused.
- Keep accurate supervision records and complete clear written reports.
- Work in partnership with social workers and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- A child-centred approach and commitment to safeguarding.
- Strong organisational, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage conflict in a professional and constructive way.
- Full UK driving licence, access to a car, and business insurance.
