Job Description

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for a Finance Assistant in Leicestershire (Hybrid) to assist with the backlog of getting missing income and expenditure items into the ledger following the implementation of Unit 4.

ROLE: Finance Assistant
LOCATION: Leicestershire (Hybrid)
CONTRACT: 2 Months (Ongoing)
PAY: £15.87 per hour Umbrella

The Role of Finance Assistant

  • Ensure that all income received by the Council is correctly allocated and reconciled.
  • Assist with the Monthly Reconciliation of the Main Bank Accounts, Payroll, Creditors, Miscellaneous Income, Sundry Debtors and Sub Contractors Tax Control Accounts together with the Staff Car Loan and Leasing Schemes.
  • To provide support in answering all types of queries made to the section.


The Person required for Finance Assistant

  • Experience in a similar role within local authority
  • An expert in using various IT packages (including Microsoft Office and specific financial systems) with significant experience of using.
  • Experience of working independently with relevant specialised systems/software
