Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Bournemouth for a Finance Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will be responsible for coordinating regular payments to external providers within the Childrens Commissioning team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the administering of regular and ad hoc payments through bespoke finance systems for services arranged by the Brokerage Team.
  • Ensure that all invoices received are for the expected and approved charges for the service commissioned.
  • Investigate finance queries from internal colleagues and external suppliers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Finance Officers and Direct Payments Support Officer, including maintaining databases and spreadsheets
Candidate Criteria
  • A-level qualifications or equivalent with AAT qualification desirable
  • Experience of explaining contractual and financial requirements in a clear manner to members of the public.
  • Knowledge of generic financial regulations and payment terms.
  • Ability to raise queries and follow through to outcome.
  • Experience of cash handling.
