First Response Practitioner

Duration: Initially 3 months
Rate: £25 umbrella an hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Poole

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council are looking for an experience Early Help First Response Practitioner to join their MASH Team

As a Early Help First Response Practitioner you will:

• Act as the first point of contact and as a gateway for families and professionals seeking advice and guidance in accessing Early Help services, undertaking, triage and where appropriate undertake Early Help enquiries and initial assessments
• Provide professional support to agencies undertaking the completing of EH assessment
• Ensure that the child or young person is at the Adan of all enquiries

Requirements

• 3 A levels, NVQ 4, HND or diploma (or equivalent experience)
• Good knowledge of work practices, systems, processes and procedures relevant to own area of work
• Experienced in completing written assessments and plans and making evidence based and outcome focused decisions
• Proven experience of delivering direct interventions which contribute to improved outcomes
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance
• Experience and understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
• Ability to travel across the BCP area using public or other forms of transport
