Floating Support Officer

One of the largest housing associations in the South East are recruiting for a Floating Support Officer in Enfield, to provide a floating support service to ex-homeless service users with low to medium support needs, with a view of moving towards independent living.

The Role
The focus of this Floating Support Officer is to deliver Tenancy Support across 24 units for former rough sleepers focusing on tenancy sustainment, employment, training and volunteering opportunities and ultimately, support to move on into independent accommodation.
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team working to support individuals (with low-medium support needs) to maintain their tenancy, avoid eviction and improve long-term positive outcomes.
  • Carry out support planning and risk assessments for customers with low-medium support needs.
  • Supporting the customer with property viewings; sign-up to the OHG tenancy and to sustain the tenancy.
  • Collaborating with relevant community agencies to ensure customers receive appropriate advice and support.



The Candidate
To be considered for this Floating Support Officer role you will require previous experience working with people in a supported housing setting and must be willing to work within both Enfield based supported accommodations and be flexible to work the occasional weekend
Due to the nature of clients you will be supporting in this role, to apply you will require an enhanced DBS on the update service.

The Contract
This is a permanent, full time Floating Support Officer, working 9:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, offering a salary of £23,116 as well as additional perks, such as 28 days annual leave allowance, season ticket loans etc.
