Floating Support Worker

A national Housing Association are recruiting for a Floating Support Worker in Bristol, to work with low risk service users across the area, providing housing advice and tenancy sustainment.

The Role
The focus of this Floating Support Worker role is to provide a tenancy sustainment and housing advice service to low risk residents across the Bristol area - including pregnancies and families. This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Sign up of new residents and explanation of tenancy conditions and payment agreements
  • Provide resident involvement opportunities
  • Carry out periodic case reviews
  • Provide housing advice to residents
  • Report any maintenance or health and safety concerns, to be rectified



The Candidate
To be considered for this Floating Support Worker role you will require the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience providing a housing-related support service
  • Ideally have experience of working with families
  • Good knowledge of tenancy sustainment and housing advice


The role is floating so requires access to a vehicle, or bicycle for work.
Due to the vulnerable nature of the service users, you will require an enhanced DBS for this role.

The Package
This is a part time Floating Support Worker role, working 3 or 4 days per week, though could flex to full time. The role will an initial 3 month contract, but the intention is for it to become permanent.
