Service Care Solutions are looking for a Grey IT Analyst to work in London on a Hybrid working model. The role is to identify and review Grey (shadow, locally owned) IT with a view to reducing organisational risk including bringing into Digital Policing support arrangements.
Activities
- Working from a list of identified Grey IT identifying business units, which will continue to be updated as the work progresses
- Using an agreed assessment framework, in consultation with users and supporting teams, identify the controls in place for each Grey IT service and consequently the level of risk associated with these services, and whether the service should be retained or eliminated
- For each service, prioritised by risk, identify a high level plan, and maintain an overview of these plans in the master list
- Prioritised by risk, build business cases to either eliminate Grey IT, to address risks associated with these services whilst continuing with local support, or to bring into DP support
- Maintain and develop the assessment process for Grey IT
- Provide support as required to the Grey IT Estate Steering Group which will oversee this work
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT and in particular cyber and business continuity risks
- Ability to write business cases and identify costs and benefits
- Good communication skills to build and maintain relationships with Service Delivery, MO6, Business Engagement, service users across the MPS and suppliers
- Understanding of key policing processes would be an advantage
