Job title - Head of Financial Planning and Treasury
Location - Wembley, London
Contract - Permanent
Hours - Full time 35 hours per week
Salary - £80,127

The Role Summary
A new opportunity has opened for a Head of Financial Planning and Treasury to join a local housing association to lead on financial planning activities such as investment appraisals, long-term business plans, stress tests and regulatory returns and to also lead on treasury securitisation, support the Director of Corporate Finance on stakeholder engagement relating to Network's Sustainable Finance Framework and Sustainability Strategy
Your key duties within the role will include:

  • The primary objective of this role is to
    1. develop the financial strategy through development finance and growth analysis with oversight of the business plan, stress testing and mitigation scenarios.
    2. support the strategic treasury function through liaising with internal and external stakeholders
      1. The role supports the DOCF and EDOF on strategic Treasury issues such as the procurement of new finance, inorganic growth, alternative finance.
      2. Lead the treasury securitisation function looking at the wire-to-wire life cycle from acquisition stage to security charging for funding exercises
      3. Support the DOCF on stakeholder engagement relating to Network's Sustainable Finance Framework and Sustainability
  • Overall responsibility for the Business Plan Protection Cycle including developing and enhancing the triggers and mitigations to meet evolving business and macroeconomic risk, and reporting to the Chairs of all Boards
  • Lead and manage securitisation within Treasury to ensure a cohesive approach to a) ongoing compliance with existing asset cover covenants, b) supporting the chargeability of new homes developed and c) support new security charging exercises
  • Support the DOCF on stakeholder engagement relating to Network's Sustainable Finance Framework and Sustainability Strategy including with banks, institutional investors, credit rating agencies and Second Party Opinion providers
  • Support the Director of Corporate Finance and Executive Director of Finance with strategic treasury activities such as the identification and procurement of new funding through banks, investors, local authorities, capital markets or other means


Requirements

  • Educated to degree level
  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent experience, with proven financial analysis track record.
  • Social Housing experience
  • Proficiency using BRIXX financial planning software
  • Understand of the collaborative relationship and interdependency of Treasury and Financial Planning
  • Contextual knowledge of the importance of security charging within the Treasury function
  • Financial understanding of the impact of new developments, JV's etc on the financial accounts.
  • Comfortable giving practical guidance to support business decision making.
  • Ability to build external relationships and broad understanding of the dynamics of investor relations
  • Advanced Excel skills and high standard of general computer literacy.
  • Comfortable working alongside functional experts be able to offer advice and support to non-finance colleagues.
