Our client, a local authority based in Bournemouth are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. This is on a temporary contract basis.
The purpose of the role is to:
Provide a health and safety inspection, review and advice service, to identify and minimise risks, ensure compliance, and inform council policies and procedures, to ensure that the risks to staff, service users and others affected by the client's activities are suitably managed and comply with the necessary legal requirements.
The role will have an internal focus on health and safety compliance for facilities and operations.
Conduct inspections, advise on risk management and assessment process, and safety audits of premises, plant, and equipment according to their risk level, to identify any issues so that these can be addressed and resolved to minimise risks.
Investigate accidents and incidents
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;
A degree/HND/NEBOSH or equivalent would be ideal but not essential. Previous experience of H&S required.
