A client within the Public Sector based in Warwickshire is currently recruiting for a Housing Development Officer to join their construction team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to contribute to the operational delivery of all new housing stock and assisting where appropriate, in the regeneration of existing stock that meets local priorities and makes effective use of all available resources.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Identify and facilitate financially viable new build schemes, refurbishment, and regeneration housing projects.
- Undertake all operational duties in scoping, scheme design and the inclusion of zero-carbon construction elements understanding their individual importance.
- Support the Principal Housing Development Manager and Senior Housing Development Officer, and their colleagues, in the programme management of a range of individual housing schemes concurrently, as they reach various stages of the development process.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require a minimum of 1-5 years' experience working within the land acquisition/ construction industry and/or experience of the affordable housing development process.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
- Professional Qualification of either Chartered Institute of Housing or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £21 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
