Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are recruiting for a Housing Lawyer on a contract basis. Please find below further details regarding the vacancy and the person specification.

ROLE: Housing Lawyer
LOCATION: North London
RATE: £40.00 to £46.50 per hour
CONTRACT: 3 month ongoing, 36 hours per week

The Role

• To progress a full caseload of housing law matters through to completion
• Matters will predominantly be Housing Disrepair matters but may also include other areas such as homelessness, injunctions and possession claims
• Working closely with internal client department to deliver excellent client care

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 2 years' PQE
• To have 2 years'+ worth of Housing Disrepair working experience
• Previous local authority working experience would be highly desirable for this role
• Good experience of attending court and general litigation experience
