Housing First Worker
9am-5pm, Monday to Friday Flexible hours negotiable (e.g., three days a week)
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Housing First Worker to work for our client based in London. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a transformative approach to tackling homelessness, focusing on providing secure housing first and foremost, followed by tailored support to address individual needs.
Housing First Worker Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular safety planning and welfare checks for a small, assigned caseload of clients.
  • Develop and maintain person-centered support plans, working closely with clients to help them sustain their tenancies and improve their overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including local authorities, healthcare providers, and community organizations, to coordinate comprehensive support services for clients.
  • Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations, ensuring the safety and stability of clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, support plans, and outcomes.

About You:

  • Previous experience working in housing, homelessness, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Understanding of the Housing First approach and the complexities of homelessness. Knowledge of relevant local services and support networks.
  • Willingness to work both remotely and in various community settings.
  • Passionate about helping individuals experiencing homelessness achieve stability and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Enhanced DBS certification for working with adults.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

The Package
This is a temporary, Housing First worker role, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
