Job Title: Housing Management Officer
Location: Nottingham
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (35 hours per week)
Contract Duration: 6-Month Temporary Contract
DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS with checks is essential
Driving Requirement: Essential

As a Housing Management Officer in Nottingham, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all properties are maintained to the highest health and safety standards. You will be responsible for organizing and overseeing various compliance activities, such as Fire Risk Assessments, Gas Servicing, and Electric Checks.
Client Contact: Maintain regular contact with residents, addressing their concerns, providing support, and ensuring their wellbeing.
Contact Notes: Accurately record all client interactions and important information in contact notes.
Monthly H&S and Fire Safety Checks: Conduct monthly health and safety and fire safety checks to ensure that properties are safe and meet the required standards.
Fire Evacuations: Organize and oversee fire drills and evacuations to ensure the safety of residents.
Void H&S Checks: Conduct health and safety checks of vacant properties, ensuring they are safe and ready for new residents.
Property Information Sheets: Maintain accurate records of property information and ensure they are up to date.
Noticeboard Information: Regularly review and update information on noticeboards to keep residents informed.
Contractor Coordination: Coordinate and arrange appointments with contractors for compliance activities, providing access to the property on the scheduled date, and ensuring 24-hour notice is given to tenants.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in housing management, especially with young people, is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS with checks is essential.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
