Housing Support Worker
Location: Guildford, Surrey
3month contract
Rota-based shifts:

  • Early Shifts: 07:45 - 15:45
  • Late Shifts: 12:15 - 20:15
  • Weekends: 08:00 - 20:00 (with Friday, Monday & Tuesday off rota around weekend working)


The Housing Support Worker will deliver individual, positive outcome-focused support packages to clients of supported schemes in Guildford. The role entails ensuring that the support service promotes empowerment and independence while adhering to best practices in the social housing field.

Housing Support Worker requirements:

  • Assist clients with day-to-day tenancy issues, rent payments, benefits claims, and preparing units for letting.
  • Meet clearly defined client outcome targets through key-working, support plans, risk assessments, and other interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities, including the maintenance of a support planning database.
  • Provide practical support and information to clients when entering the service and throughout their involvement.
  • Ensure health and safety and safeguarding requirements are met for the overall safety and security of clients.
  • Report repairs and maintenance needs on behalf of clients following agreed procedures.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a housing support role.
  • Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and business insurance.
  • Enhanced DBS certification for working with adults.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and engage in lone working situations.


The Package
This is a temporary, Housing Support worker role, about 35 hours per week for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
