Support vulnerable young people in a regulated supported housing environment, promoting independence and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

THE ROLE
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support to young people in a supported accommodation setting, helping them develop essential life skills and achieve independence.
  • Deliver person-centred support in line with agreed support plans
  • Maintain regular contact with young people to promote wellbeing and safety
  • Conduct weekly health and safety inspections in communal and individual spaces
  • Record and manage client information, property records and incident reports
  • Coordinate and host social activities, meetings, and consultations
  • Liaise with repair services and external agencies to ensure tenancy sustainment
  • Comply with safeguarding protocols and Ofsted/funding body regulations

THE SERVICE
This vacancy is based in a non-regulated supported housing service in Stockton-on-Tees. It offers short- to medium-term accommodation in self-contained flats with communal spaces, supporting homeless or at-risk young people and families. Available 24/7 year-round, it helps residents build independent living skills—such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and tenancy management—and supports those addressing substance misuse through connections with treatment services. The service has won multiple regional Housing with Care awards in recognition of its caring, person-centred approach and high-quality support

THE CANDIDATE
We’re looking for someone with experience supporting vulnerable young people in a supported housing or community-based setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and maintaining professional boundaries
  • Confident communicator with both internal teams and external agencies
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office for admin and reporting
  • Able to coordinate group activities and engage young people in participation
  • Willingness to work flexibly and travel for occasional training or service cover

THE CONTRACT
  • 21 Hours per Week – Rota Basis between 8AM and 9PM
  • 3 Month Contract, Temp to Perm opportunity
  • The pay for the role is £16.62 per hour LTD company rate.
  • The PAYE equivalent is £14.26 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
