A London-based Housing Association are recruiting for a Support Worker to provide a housing related support service to their residents ina supported housing service in Tower Hamlets with a view to moving them on from temporary accommodation in to independent living.
The Role
The focus of this Support Worker role is work with residents with regards to tenancy sustainment and independent living to prepare them for moving on from the service. This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Work with residents to identify focussed goals and produce support plans to achieve outcomes
- Work with residents on support and recovery
- Assist with tenancy sustainment, benefit maximisation and housing and lettings meetings.
- Work with other agencies where necessary to provide best service and outcomes
- Work with clients and local services to plan and support move on and resettlement
The Candidate
To be considered for this Support Worker role you will require the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience providing a housing-related support service
- Good knowledge of tenancy sustainment and housing advice
Due to the vulnerable nature of the service users, you will require an enhanced DBS for this role.
The Package
This is a full time support worker role, working 35 hours per week on a rota which includes evenings and weekends. The contract is initially for 12 weeks with a view to become permanent beyond this.
