Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 7 days a week working on a rolling rota
DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS with Adult and Child checks is essential.

About Us:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker to join our team in South Essex, covering areas including Basildon, Castlepoint, and Rochford. Our mission is to provide essential housing support to vulnerable individuals, including young people aged 16 and 17 at risk of homelessness, care leavers aged 18-21, vulnerable young parents up to the age of 21, and other vulnerable 18-21-year-olds. We are looking for a committed support worker to assist individuals in achieving a successful move-on and other measurable outcomes, ultimately helping service users gain independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Housing Support: Provide housing-related support to vulnerable individuals, assisting them in securing stable and safe accommodations.
Property Management: Oversee housing and property management tasks, ensuring that accommodations meet the required standards and are well-maintained.
Successful Move-On: Work with service users to achieve a successful move-on plan, supporting their transition to more permanent housing arrangements.
Independence: Assist and empower individuals to gain the skills and knowledge necessary for achieving independence.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Compassion and empathy for individuals facing housing and support challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver's license is essential.
- Knowledge of housing-related support and property management.
- Enhanced DBS clearance with checks for both Adults and Children is essential.
