Housing Support Worker

Service Care Solutions are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Management Worker for our well-established client based in Merseyside. This is a rewarding opportunity to directly support tenants in managing their tenancies, ensuring their well-being, and contributing to the overall success of our housing services.
Key Responsibilities for a Housing Management worker are to provide direct support to tenants, assisting them with housing benefit claims and connecting them to relevant support services. Liaise with external support services as needed to address the diverse needs of tenants.
Housing Management worker job role:

    • Conduct initial and regular assessments of potential and current service users, identifying risks, needs, and requirements to determine eligibility for our housing service.
    • Take necessary actions based on assessments to ensure appropriate service delivery.
    • Collaborate with Housing Management Team to issue correct tenancies and conduct new tenancy sign-ups.
    • Ensure that tenants understand and accept tenancy obligations.
    • Work closely with the Asset Management team to maintain property standards, report repairs promptly, and ensure properties are suitable for letting and safe occupation.
    • Work in partnership with the Housing Management team to meet voids and arrears targets, comply with Tenure Law, and adhere to housing policies and procedures.
    • Work collaboratively with internal partners in Quality, Policy, HR, Finance, and IT to deliver the best possible service to our users.


Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm(32hpw)

Housing Management worker requirements.

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Computer literate


The Package
This is a temporary, Housing Management role, 32 hours per week for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
