Housing Team Leader

Job Description

We are working with a Housing Association based in Bethnal Green.

We are recruiting for Housing Team Leader for 3 months with a possibility of temp 2 perm.
The ideal candidate is expected to cover the following:

· Cover own patch of approximately 250 properties
· Have solid and demonstrable experience of arrears management up to and including taking/presenting arrears cases to court.
· Demonstrable knowledge of service notices (NOSP, NTQs, Section 21 notices).
· Must demonstrate that they know the pre- court protocol in detail (a pre-requisite in progressing any case to court) as well as the equalities act (a pre requisite when dealing with vulnerable tenants and serving Sec 21 notices)
· Will manage a team of 2 housing officers and 2 enhanced housing management officers (provide support as well as housing function to residents Hackney schemes).
· Does not need to have a background in supported housing but must understand SP issues and be prepared to work with clients from homeless background.
· Demonstrable knowledge of housing IT systems (we use Pyramid but must have transferable skills ie Northgate etc).
· Have knowledge of voids processes.
· Essential- must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written . Will be required to present information to management on various KPIs.
