We are currently working alongside a leading online sales company, based in Blackburn, who are in need a HR Advisor to join their team. This is an fantastic opportunity to join a fun and expanding organisation with people at their heart.

ROLE: HR Advisor

LOCATION: Blackburn

SALARY: £25,000 - £35,000

The Role:

  • Responsible for day-to-day HR activities
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to line managers and staff on a variety of HR issues, including disciplinaries, grievance and absence management, including attendance and documentation with support from HR Manager
  • Take an active lead in onboarding and conducting employee inductions and completing all associated onboarding administration
  • Ensure the leaver process is followed including; exit interviews, chasing leavers forms, correspondence with leavers, notifying IT/Compliance
  • Responsible for Maternity and Paternity documentation and processes
  • Responsible for employment contracts new starters and existing staff
  • Point of contact for all staff queries/issues and reporting back relevant info to management/Hannah
  • Ensure all HR admin, documentation and personnel records are up to date (sage, staff lists, annual leave entitlement)
  • Assist with ensuring policies and procedures are up to date and well communicated
  • Responsible for disciplinary appeals and ACAS communication with support from the HR Manager
  • Responsible for monthly payroll with HR manager's support
  • Advise Management on performance reviews and attend and chase where necessary
  • Responsible for DSE and Health screening and assist HR manager with other H&S duties as required
  • Responsibility for ordering and managing stocked uniform and keeping up to date with invoices
  • Maintain communication with the HR manager on employee issues and leavers
  • Prepare bulk personnel documentation (NMW letters etc)
  • Work with the HR manager on engagement initiatives and HR related projects as required
  • Responsible for any work experience students/apprentice signups
  • Assisting with the recruiter duties as and when required
  • Any other HR duties as required

The Person:

  • Level 5 CIPD or studying towards
  • Previous experience in a HR Advisory role
  • Must understand the importance data protection, confidentiality and maintaining integrity
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Sound Employment Law knowledge
  • You will be confident in advising and supporting and coaching managers with challenging cases
  • Close attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality results consistently, accurately and on time
