Join a dynamic local authority team in Enfield as an Income Assessment Officer, where you'll play a key role in providing high-quality financial assessment and income collection services. THE ROLE
As an Income Assessment Officer, you will support the Assessment Hub by delivering professional and efficient financial assessments and income-related services in line with national and local guidelines.
  • Assess and determine income-related benefits and financial entitlements
  • Handle complex collection matters and customer enquiries
  • Deliver high standards of customer service through written and verbal communication
  • Maintain accurate case records and audit trails
  • Engage with vulnerable clients and manage sensitive financial data
  • Support the implementation of automation and streamlined processes
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies for seamless service delivery
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a financial assessment or collection role within a public sector or similar environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of income-related assessments and associated legislation
  • Adaptability to work across a pooled team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident in using IT systems and maintaining accurate data records
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in financial services or assessment
THE CONTRACT
Full time, Monday - Friday
Temporary: 3 Month Contract, potential for extension
RATE: The pay for the role is £22.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £18.76 per hour, inclusive of holiday. HOW TO APPLY
