Job Description
A Local Authority based in London is looking for an Internal Audit and Anti-Fraud Auditor to join the team on an initial 6-month basis. The post holder will discharge statutory Section 151 responsibilities and Accounts and Audit Regulations requirements placed upon the Local Authority by undertaking complex audits, major reviews and special investigations to ensure probity, compliance and value for money in the operation and delivery of Local Authority services.
The post holder will conduct investigations into fraud corporately across the Local Authority, including employee related fraud, right to buy, student loans and any other fraud perpetrated against the Local Authority.

Ideal Candidate
- IIA, CIA Or Equivalent preferred or extensive Audit/Fraud experience
- Internal Audit experience within a Local Authority environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Management of audit experience preferable as role involves having direct reports
