We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our team, focusing on social housing repairs and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery, with the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on social housing properties, including doors, windows, kitchens, and other wooden fixtures.
- Respond promptly to repair requests, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants.
- Assess and diagnose issues, providing effective solutions to maintain property standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and housing officers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for both yourself and the tenants.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter, particularly in the context of housing repairs.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent qualification).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
