The opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an Joiner to join the team on a permanent basis in Scunthorpe This is a full time role working within a well-established company. The successful candidate will undertake all joinery repairs including Glazing and UPVC repairs as well as various types of windows and doors (Including composite doors_, Locksmith knowledge and experience would be an advantage in this role. Fault finding and identifying where necessary the extent of repairs required on site as well as reporting any problems or further action required to manager. To liaise with tenants and premises managers concerning the timing and progress of work being undertaken as well as undertake minor building repairs. Experience in inspection of materials and carry out repairs and maintenance to required standard.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Joinery qualification to NVQ level 3 or C&G advanced craft
  • Ability to carry out multi skilling tasks as set out
  • Experience of property repairs and construction techniques
  • Knowledge of plant and equipment
  • Understanding of COSHH regulations
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work practices
  • Customer Care orientated and dedicated to the provision of a quality service

This is a full time position, Working a standard of 37 hours between 8:00am and 18:00pm. Days actually worked may also be varied on a rota basis due to work demands and changing time of the year. Emergency out of hours service provisional to a rota this will involve being on call for repairs and maintenance. Day to day repairs that are planned or emergencies in the timescale agreed with customers.
