Role summary - We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading housing provider for a Leasehold Officer to manage their over 55s retirement schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in housing management, particularly in working with older adults and those with vulnerabilities.

NOT CARE OR SUPPORT based at an older people scheme in Camden, will need to go to Ealing as well. Independent living. 28 hours a week - POTENTIAL TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT PERSON. Monday in Camden 9am to 5pm, Tuesday all day and Wednesday morning at one of the NHG offices Hammersmith or King's Cross, Wednesday afternoon in Ealing Schemes (x2) Thursday in Camden scheme.

DO NOT WORK ON A FRIDAY

Need someone who has experience in Leaseholder but will consider transferrable skills, Housing Management experience, preferably around over 55's schemes.

ENHANCED DBS IS REQUIRED, IDEALLY WILL ALREADY HAVE ONE THAT HAS BEEN DONE IN THE LAST 3 YEARS. IF UPDATE SERVICE IT IS TRANSFERRABLE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming new residents and explaining their lease terms and service charges.
  • Conducting regular welfare checks and updating support plans for residents, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Managing property maintenance and repairs, liaising with contractors, and ensuring high standards in communal areas.
  • Overseeing health and safety compliance, including fire risk assessments.
  • Ensuring timely collection of ground rent and service charges, managing debt recovery, and working with the management team on budget setting.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience providing customer-focused services, ideally within housing or with similar customer groups.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with residents and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, housing policy, and best practices.
  • Experience working across teams and external agencies to deliver a high-quality service.
  • IT proficiency, including basic MS Office skills and familiarity with housing management systems like Northgate or Inform.
