Lifeline Response Officer

Job Description


A local authority in the West Midlands is recruiting for a Lifeline Response Officer in Leamington Spa to respond to emergency calls from vulnerable individuals in their own homes.

The Role
The focus of this Lifeline Response Officer role is to receive calls from vulnerable individuals who have pressed their Lifeline Pendant. The key responsibilities of this Lifeline Response Officer role will be to:

  • Handle initial call and assess the situation
  • Resolve situation if possible, if not, make assessment whether emergency services or next of kin are required
  • Provide out of hours customer service for the council's emergency repairs service



The Candidate
To be considered for this Lifeline Response Officer role you will require the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working with vulnerable individuals
  • Previous experience in a phone-based customer service role
  • Be proficient in various IT systems


Due to the vulnerable nature of the service users, you will require an enhanced DBS for this role.

The Contract
This is can be a full time Lifeline Response Officer role, working on shifts between 06:00 and 22:00 on a rota basis. The role is initially on a temporary contract, with an excellent chance of becoming permanent.
