Role: Civil Litigation Lawyer
Location: Durham/Hybrid Working
Umbrella Rate: £50 - £60 an hour
PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £44.48 - £48.87 depending on experience
Contract Length: 3 Months ongoing
Responsibilities as a Civil Litigation Lawyer:
- To support and assist the Senior Lawyer and be responsible for conducting matters in the following areas: Licensing matters; Criminal litigation matters; Civil litigation matters; Contentious housing matters; and Such other matters and work types as may from time to time be required.
- To undertake high quality advocacy, representing the Council before courts and tribunals.
- To draft legal documentation, appropriate with the nature and grading of the post.
- To undertake all work assigned to them in a competent and professional manner.
- 3 year’s of post qualified experience handling litigated civil claims as a Solicitor/Barrister or Legal Executive
- Ability to manage litigated cases from issue of proceedings to trial
- Strong technical lawyer with good written and oral communication skills
