Job Description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist for a LOCUM contract supporting a Community Paediatric service in the Blackburn with Darwen area. The successful candidate will provide Occupational Therapy to Children and Younger People with a range of Developmental and Physical conditions including Learning Difficulties.

The successful candidate will work for the duration of 5 Months with the likelihood of extension. This is a Full-time opportunity, although all applications of 2 Days+ will be considered.

Job Purpose: Occupational Therapist

Pay Rate: £35.00 p/h + £250 Service Care Solutions Sign-Up Bonus

Location: Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire (Hybrid Working available)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Contract: 37.5 Hours

The post holder will work as part of the community team and provide Occupational Therapy to Children with a range of diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify each child's needs for equipment and adaptations in the home and school environment.
  • Conduct moving and handling risk assessments and develop handling plans.
  • Provide assessment and recommendations for Disabled Facilities Grants.
  • Complete specialist seating assessments.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.


Requirements

  • Occupational Therapy qualification
  • HCPC Registration
