Assisting with the: COVID-19 Inquiry

About the Role
The Scottish Government is seeking a dedicated and motivated paralegal to support the COVID-19 Inquiry team. This role is crucial in assisting with legal research, document preparation, and the overall organisation of the inquiry process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and summarise findings relevant to the COVID-19 inquiry.
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, reports, and submissions.
- Organise and maintain case files and evidence for the inquiry.
- Attend meetings and assist in note-taking and documentation.
- Support the inquiry team in managing time lines and deliverable.
Essential Criteria
- A degree in law or a relevant qualification in legal studies within Scots Law.
- Previous experience in a paralegal role or in a legal environment.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with public inquiries or government processes is an advantage.
