🔍 About the Role: Southampton City Council is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Placement Coordinator to support its Adult Social Care Teams. This is a non-frontline, office-based role ideal for candidates with experience in social care settings (though not requiring a qualified practitioner).
You’ll play a key role in sourcing support packages and placements, ensuring contractual accuracy, and liaising with social care teams, finance, and external providers.
🧾 Key Responsibilities:
- Source and coordinate support packages and care placements for adults
- Ensure individual contracts and documentation are accurate and in place
- Work closely with the Adult Social Care teams and Clinical Commissioning Group (Hampshire, Southampton & Isle of Wight)
- Liaise with the Finance Team to help resolve any issues relating to care provision
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with social workers, service providers, and internal partners
- Experience in social care or similar administrative settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately at pace
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
- Confidence using systems and handling sensitive information
- Be part of a supportive, well-structured local authority
- Play a key role in ensuring high-quality care delivery
