Placement Officer

Duration: 6 months initially
Rate: £21 umbrella an hour

Bromley Council are looking for a Placement Officer to join their team. This role is based in co-located offices with colleagues from health either at the Princess Royal University Hospital or Orpington.

This role will involve weekend working and as an example would cover:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday
Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Weekends can be remotely worked.

Role:

• Sourcing domcare support packages to enable people to go home from hospital where they have health and social care needs
• Receive referrals and assessments from social care for service users required services
• To make recommendations to the Social Worker/referrer on the most appropriate and best value options
• Undertake visits to providers for both individual service users and for general database records

Requirements

• Experience within sourcing placements for service users
• Understanding of the Care Standards and relevant legislation
• Experience of negotiating agreements or contracts
• Educated to a high level A levels as a minimum
