Planning Lawyer

Service Care legal are currently working alongside a booming Local Authority, based in Bournemouth, which is currently in need of a Planning Lawyer to join their team.


Role: Planning Lawyer
Salary: £55 to £60ph
Location: Bournemouth (remote with the very infrequent need to attend the office)
Duration: 3 months rolling contract

The role of a Planning Lawyer:

  • Handling a full caseload on Planning Law from start to completion
  • Deal all aspects of planning, contentious and non-contentious planning matters, including complex section 106 obligations and issues relating to Community Infrastructure Levy, lawful development certificates, planning enforcement, planning appeals, Judicial Reviews.
  • Advice on highway agreements and licences, traffic management orders, stopping up orders and rights of way matters in a planning context regulatory and related local government law matters (contentious and non-contentious)

The Person:

  • Someone who has experience in Planning Law within the public sector
  • Ideally someone with 3+ years PQE in Planning Law
  • Someone who is organised and self-motivated and is prepared to contribute and improve upon the efficiency of the team
