Service Care Legal are recruiting for a Senior Planning Lawyer to join the legal department of a local authority in North London on a contract basis. Please find below further details regarding this position:
ROLE: Senior Planning Lawyer
LOCATION: North London
RATE: £40.00 to £45.00 per hour
CONTRACT: 3 month rolling contract
The Role
- To manage and progress a full caseload of Planning Law matters through to completion including some regeneration work
- Caseloads will include planning disputes, section 106 agreements, providing advice and support on planning law issues, drafting agreements and article 4 directions
- To negotiate, draft and deal with agreements under s.106 Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and any other related agreements
- To provide other planning advice to more junior members of staff when required
The Person
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 3 years' PQE within Planning Law
- Strong technical knowledge around Planning Law is essential
- Previous public sector working experience would be highly desirable but not essential
- Experience in effective handling of case load relating to planning law work
