Planning Solicitor

Service Care Legal are working alongside a local authority based in Lancashire. We are looking to recruit a Solicitor to join the councils legal team with Planning and Enforcement experience and preferably BNG experience.

Role: Planning Solicitor

Location: Lancashire/ Fully remote

Rate: £55.00-£60.00

Contract Length: 3 Months Ongoing

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to a range of clients on planning and highway matters.
  • Reviewing and drafting Committee reports.
  • Work proactively and perform responsibilities to a high standard in accordance with all applicable statutory and regulatory standards, Authority policies and procedures and as directed.
  • Attending and advising at Committee meetings (this can be done remotely) of the County Council relating to highways, public rights of way and planning matters.

About You

  • Must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a current practising certificate.
  • Experience specialising in planning law within the last 5 years.
  • Good communication with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to have the ability to work effectively with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
