Principal Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

Principal Clinical Psychologist needed with Oxfordshire County Council

Start Date- ASAP

Location - Oxford

Duration - Initially 3 months

Hours per week - 37 hours a week

Salary - £32.65 ltd a day

Description:

  • To work within the Corporate Parenting Service, working with the most vulnerable children and families, including those on the edge of care, within the care system and preparing for independence
  • This role involves carrying out assessments and referrals to mental health services for families, children and young people across the teams
  • You will undertake direct psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for children, young people and families
  • To be a psychological support to the area social worker team and review existing plans to support mental health needs when appropriate and advise on the amendments needed to achieve sustainable outcomes

What is required?

  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology as accredited by BPS
  • HCPC Registered
  • At least 2 years relevant experience as a Clinical Psychologist
