Role: Principal Lawyer - Children and Adults Social Care
Location: Remote/hybrid working considered
Umbrella Rate: £70 - £75ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £61.45 - £65.80ph
Contract Length: 6 months ongoing
Key responsibilities of the Principal Lawyer role:
- Handle a complex caseload of children and adults social care law from start to completion.
- Report to the Assistant County Solicitor or Deputy County Solicitor and will have Senior Lawyers, Lawyers, Senior Assistant Lawyers, Assistant Lawyers, Senior Legal Assistants and Legal Assistants reporting to you.
- Take part in the Legal Services’ Out of Hours service to aid the Emergency Duty Team on matters of Childcare and Adult Social Care.
- Be a qualified solicitor or legal executive (with a current PC) with substantial experience in social care law.
- Proven track record of handling a diverse caseload with diligence and attention to detail.
- Experience in court proceedings and representing clients in legal matters.
- Supervisory experience within a legal team.
- Hybrid working (will consider remote).
- Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
- Flexible hours.
