Principal Planning Officer

A client within the Public Sector based in Somerset is currently recruiting for a Principal Planning Officer to join their planning team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role to deal with a range residential and commercial planning applications.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Examining, processing, and evaluating major planning and related applications including pre-and post-application advice.
  • Prepare written statements and committee reports, including proofs of evidence in relation to a range of appeals, and present evidence at hearings, and public inquiries, and at court proceedings.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require to be up to date on national planning policy and show sound knowledge of planning law and procedure.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £40 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
