Service Care Solutions is seeking a skilled Principal Policy Planner for a Local Authority in Liverpool.
You will assist in the preparation, review, and monitoring of the Liverpool Local Plan and Supplementary Planning Documents, ensuring a modern, customer-focused planning service.
This is a full time, temporary assignment offering £37 per hour Umbrella LTD (£29.50 per hour PAYE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of planning policy documents.
- Liaise with local authorities and key stakeholders on strategic planning issues.
- Mentor and guide junior staff, manage project work, and oversee public consultations.
- Present evidence at public inquiries and examinations.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring delivery within budget.
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Town Planning (RTPI recognized).
- Experience in urban Local Plan preparation and monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of planning policy legislation and processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage workloads independently and lead a team.
