Procurement Business Partner

Barnet Council are seeking a Procurement Business Partner to join their dynamic specialist Procurement team within Adults Social Care. The company is a leading provider of services and solutions to the public sector, ensuring high value, improved and cost efficiency savings across the council.

The Role

The Procurement Business Partner will be responsible for leading on specific projects within a portfolio of projects/programmes. The successful candidate will work with internal and external customers to ensure queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively. This is a three-month pending perm recruitment position with a daily rate of £274.72ltd per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic Procurement in line with best practice guidance
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for routine procurements and/or lead specific policy/system/training initiatives
  • Assist the Team Leader in the delivery of the annual work plan ensuring performance to key milestones and agreed key performance indicators are achieved
  • Be the welcoming response to clients/contractors and signposting them to the correct area of the Procurement Service

Requirements

  • Adult Social Care background
  • Ability to start within 2-4 weeks
  • Hybrid working with occasional FTF meetings and office attendance for IT equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in delivering procurement projects within a public sector environment
