Rates - £13.15 - £16.17
Hours- 37.5
Location - Birmingham/Solihull

Project Management
* To identify the level of understanding of NHS roles and entry levels within Birmingham & Solihull NHS organisations
* To review systems used to promote living and working in Health & Social Care in Birmingham & Solihull
* Develop a centralised, coordinated, single point of access for HCA careers.
* Promote and raise awareness of Roots 2 Care programme, entry level into a nursing career.
* Scope demand for work-related learning opportunities, HCA growth via Roots 2 Care programme.
* Develop engagement plans as a pipeline into increasing the diversity of the workforce, attracting people who may not previously have considered the option of a career in nursing.
Communications
* Presents project plans and progress reports via weekly meetings to the Senior OD BP & Workforce Development & Transformation Manager and to the Apprentice Federation meetings.
* Develops and maintains effective working relationships with user departments.
* Maintains effective working relationships with internal & external key workers.

Security and Confidentiality
* Is aware of, Data Protection Act and Caldicott principles
* Promotes and applies these principles when communicating with internal & external partners.

Knowledge
* Maintain an awareness of Talent for Care, widening participation and volunteering trends locally & nationally in line with NHS workforce plans.
* Maintains an awareness of national healthcare developments, particularly in Mental Health

Other responsibilities
Attends and contributes to departmental and other relevant meetings.

The post holder will support BSMHFT priorities and includes a vision for a unified and collaborative approach to recruitment, retention and career development that promotes living and working in Birmingham and Solihull.

We aim to increase the number of people in work; particularly improving rates of young people those not in education or employment, increasing the rates of those returning to work in the health and care sector as well as retaining our workforce reducing vacancy rates.
