This role pays a competitive rate of:
PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £44.48 - £48.87 per hour
Umbrella - £50-£55 per hour
This role is on a 4-6month contract with potential to extend and is a part time role.
Responsibilities as a Prosecution Solicitor:
- Manage a diverse caseload of criminal matters including theft, assault, drug offences, fraud, and public order offences.
- Represent clients during police station interviews (with out-of-hours availability, if required).
- Prepare and advocate cases in Magistrates’ Courts; instruct counsel for Crown Court trials.
- Draft legal documents, case summaries, and instructions to counsel.
- Advise clients on the strength of evidence and appropriate pleas.
About you as a Prosecution Solicitor:
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (preferred for travel to courts/police stations).
- Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a valid Practising Certificate.
