ROLE: Prosecutions Lawyer (Housing & Litigation)
RATE: £35 to £40 per hour – (£35.71ph PAYE inc. holiday pay, £31.86ph PAYE exc. holiday pay)
LOCATION: South East London
CONTRACT: 6 months with possibility of extension
Please note that this role would require office attendance 2 days per week.
The Role:
As a Prosecutions Lawyer, you’ll be handling a diverse and busy caseload covering a wide range of criminal and regulatory matters, including:
- Housing Act offences (e.g. rogue landlords)
- Environmental health breaches
- Planning enforcement
- Licensing issues
- Anti-social behaviour and closure orders
The Person:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (with a valid practising certificate)
- Strong experience in local authority prosecutions or regulatory enforcement work
- Confident in court advocacy, particularly in Magistrates’ Court
- Solid knowledge of relevant legislation (Housing Act, Environmental Protection Act, etc.)
