Practitioner Psychologist

Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Practitioner Psychologist. In this role, you will deliver therapeutic consultation, assessments, and interventions while supporting teams in your region. This flexible, home-based role requires some travel, giving you the chance to make a real difference.

Key Details

  • Role: Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Forensic, Counselling, Educational)
  • Salary: Up to £63,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Location: Hybrid - Travel to service within Nottingham required
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with some flexibility
  • Travel: Up to 90 minutes within the assigned region. A full UK driving licence is required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist psychological input to teams in the designated region.
  • Develop knowledge of the clinical model and promote therapeutic practice.
  • Oversee assessments, formulations, and therapeutic plans for young people.
  • Deliver psychological interventions using various methods and tools.
  • Offer psychological guidance to carers, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide advice on risk management.
  • Deliver training on therapeutic approaches and applied psychology.
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists and Therapists within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical services and operational policies.
  • Stay informed about research and evidence-based practices to support ongoing service improvement.


Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Clinical, Forensic, Counselling, or Educational Psychology.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of the impact of developmental trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
