Qualified Social Worker - Fostering

Rate of Pay - £42ltd per hour
About the Role
Reading Borough Council are seeking a highly motivated Social Worker to join their Friends and Families team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking assessments of Connected Carers, including viability assessments, and Special Guardians. They will also provide supervision and support to Connected Carers and may include the assessment and support of Private Fostering arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments of Connected Carers, including viability assessments, and Special Guardians
- Provide supervision and support to Connected Carers
- Assess and support Private Fostering arrangements
- Produce thorough assessments for court and Fostering Panel that are of a high standard
- Make informed recommendations regarding the suitability of carers for children
- Support connected carers to provide strong and sustainable placements for children
Requirements
- Experience working in a Family and Friends Team
- Degree in Social Work
- Registration with Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS check
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
