Job Title: Housing Referral Lead
Location: Leeds
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Contract Duration: 6-Month Temporary Contract
DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS is essential.

About Us:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Housing Referral Lead to join our team in Leeds. As a Housing Referral Lead, your primary role is to lead daily staff briefings and manage a team of Referral Officers. You will work closely with the Engagement and Insight Lead on methods of working with the Referral Hub and collaborate effectively with the other Referral Lead to deliver activities meeting the needs of stakeholders, CAS-2 Residents, and MoJ within a framework of contract compliance, exceeding business service levels. Your responsibilities include ensuring safe and accountable placements, managing and developing employees, maintaining health and safety procedures, identifying risks and issues, and making informed judgments on escalated acceptances, declines, and incomplete referral applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead daily staff briefings and manage a team of Referral Officers.
Collaboration: Work with the Engagement and Insight Lead to develop effective methods for working with the Referral Hub.
Stakeholder Needs: Collaborate with the other Referral Lead to deliver activities that meet the needs of stakeholders, CAS-2 Residents, and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).
Compliance: Ensure that risk assessments are carried out for eligible referrals and provide safe and accountable placements.
Employee Management: Lead, manage, recruit, and develop employees to carry out their duties according to business requirements.
Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, with necessary remedial actions taken when required.
Risk Management: Horizon scan to identify risks and issues at an early stage and develop appropriate solutions.
Decision Making: Use informed and defensible judgment on escalated acceptances, declines, and incomplete referral applications.
Customer Support: Support the team in responding to general inquiries, providing accurate and appropriate information and advice.
Performance Targets: Set team performance targets as agreed with your manager and ensure they are delivered by effectively managing resources, including working within income and budget targets.
Record Keeping: Ensure that you and your team maintain up-to-date records via relevant and appropriate systems within specified timeframes and produce reports as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of referral processes and housing services.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
