Are you an experienced leader ready to take the reins of a children's residential home and drive real, meaningful change in young people's lives?
We’re looking for a passionate Registered Manager to lead a nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
? What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading and managing the residential care team, ensuring consistent and therapeutic care using a PACE-based approach.
- Overseeing safeguarding, care planning, and education for children with complex needs.
- Managing budgets, rotas, staffing, compliance, and home development.
- Driving continuous improvement to achieve ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
- Supporting each child’s individual journey through trauma-informed care, emotional resilience building, and goal-focused support.
- Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s home with a strong Ofsted track record.
- At least 2 years' experience working in residential childcare and 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
- Achieved (or working toward) Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Sound knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, SCCIF, and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023.
- A confident leader who’s organised, resilient, and deeply child-focused.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- A passion for working with young people affected by trauma, abuse, and attachment disruption.
- Emotional resilience and creativity to lead by example.
- A flexible approach – including availability for on-call duties and emergency cover.
